Ohio State has swept the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association weekly awards for the period ending March 4. Senior outside hitter Maxime Hervoir has earned the Offensive Player of the Week honor. Junior libero Aaron Samarin gathered the Defensive Player of the Week award.
Hervoir hit .528 on the week with an average of 4.86 kills per set. He helped the Buckeyes take a pair of matches from McKendree. In the first match he recorded 20 kills (5.00 per set) with a .548 attack percentage while adding three aces. The next contest he notched 14 kills (4.67 per set) on a .500 attack percentage.
Samarin averaged 3.14 digs per set in a pair of conference victories on the road at McKendree for Ohio State. He had 13 digs in a four-set win the first night and returned for nine digs the next night in a three-set victory.
