Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University Athletics
Director Dan Schumacher announced on Thursday (Sept. 3), that the
Flyers, along with 10 other Great Lakes Valley Conference member
institutions, have agreed to a multi-year partnership with B2
Networks, webcasting close to 40 events during the 2009-10 school
year via www.LewisFlyers.com.
"We were one of the leaders in webcast subscribers in the GLVC last year and having over two-thirds of our home volleyball and basketball games webcast this season can only help increase those numbers," Schumacher said. "We couldn't be happier to be working with B2 Networks and to have the ability to provide Lewis fans across the country live Flyers action is priceless."
Fans can purchase individual games for seven dollars, while season pass pricing will be announced in the coming months.
The Lewis women's volleyball team will be the first match webcast, as the two-time defending GLVC champions host Southern Indiana for a 7 p.m. first serve on October 23rd.
A Catholic university sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers, Lewis offers nearly 80 undergraduate majors and programs of study, accelerated degree completion options for working adults, various aviation programs and 22 graduate programs in nine fields. The 10th largest private, not-for-profit university in Illinois is being honored for the sixth consecutive year by The Princeton Review and U.S. News & World Report.
