Quincy Eases Past MSOE for 3-1 win
(Milwaukee, Wis.) The Quincy University men's volleyball team picked up a 3-1 win over Milwaukee School of Engineering on the road on Saturday night. The Hawks took down MSOE 30-28, 30-22, 23-30 and 30-25 for their fourth win of the season.
After edging past MSOE 30-28 in the first game, the Hawks offense powered their way to the win. Quincy hit .344 in game two with 14 kills and just three attack errors as they won 30-22. MSOE was able to pick up a 30-23 win in game three but Quincy finished off the win with an impressive game four.
Quincy hit .424 in the fourth game, with 19 kills and just five attack errors. Quincy hit .412 in the match, finishing with 58 kills in the match. MSOE hit just .194 in the match and committed 18 service errors.
Quincy was led by Joseph Ascher's 16 kills while Peter Coley added 14 kills. Dan Dresen ran the offense with 45 assists for Quincy while Coley also added seven digs. Quincy improves to 4-6 overall this season and returns to action tomorrow afternoon with another road game when they face Carthage College.
