Ball State's Matt Walsh averaged 1.88 blocks per set in wins over McKendree and Ohio State last weekend. He helped Ball State limit McKendree to a .012 hitting percentage in the sweep on Friday thanks to six blocks (2.00 per set). The next day the Cardinals lost the first two sets to Ohio State before rallying for the win on Walsh’s Senior Night. Walsh totaled nine blocks against the Buckeyes. He helped the Cardinals limit Ohio State to a .200, .100 and .190 attack percentage, respectively, in the final sets. The two wins clinched the No. 3 seed for the Cardinals in the MIVA Tournament.
