Smalzer improved to a .471 hitting percentage against Saint Francis, also tabbing three block assists against the Red Flash and helping Loyola to a season-high .412 hitting percentage. In Saturday's match against George Mason, Smalzer collected a season-high four blocks assists for 1.33 blocks per set. He had three consecutive service aces to lead a second set charge against the Patriots, helping him to 1.00 service aces/set.
